About

Malia Munley is an NYC-based actor, singer, dancer, and producer from Honolulu, HI. She recently graduated from Yale University with a BA in History and Theater. She concentrated in the history of science, medicine, and technology and graduated with distinction and honors in both majors. Malia was one of 11 students in her entire class to be nominated for the Louis Sudler Prize, Yale's most prestigious award for the creative and performing arts. 

At Yale, Malia studied under the guidance of Joan Rosenfels, James Bundy, Annette Jolles, Andréa Burns, Gregory Wallace. She also studied at the British American Dramatic Academy under Leo Wringer, Mary Lou Rosato, Andrew Wade, and Jackie Snow. 

Her favorite credits include May Wang in 8:38, Tyler in Bicycle, Natasha in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 (Yale University, d. Annette Jolles), Mollie in The Mousetrap (Beef and Boards, d. Eddie Curry), Liat in South Pacific (Engeman Theater, d. Hunter Foster), Louise in Gypsy (Yale University, d. Gabrielle Neiderhoffer and Ethan Riordan), Johanna in Sweeney Todd (Yale Dramatic Association, d. Noam Shapiro), John in Shining City (Yale University, Madi Cole), and Laodamia in the premiere production of Ellen McLaughlin's Mercury's Footpath (Yale University, Samantha White).

Outside the theater, Malia can be found at hot sculpt or her favorite neighborhood coffee shop with an iced americano, croissant, and podcast.
